Step 4 – Deploy

Assuming that the management team approve the configured software the process of deployment commences. In reality any platform requirements – servers, communications,peripherals and cabling – would have been installed during the previous phase. In addition any data transfer requirements would have been analysed and when the software is delivered it comes complete with a full or sub-set of your data to ensure that training has more relevance. We will re-transfer the data prior to going live and the live transactional data is refreshed the day before your system is due to go live.

Training tends to be the most labour intensive process involved in the installation of a new business system as we have to contend with a variety of competency levels, individuals prejudices and fears, holidays, customer sickness and unavoidable project interruptions. All of this we will take in our stride and your project’s challenges will be tackled by a team from Blue Rock that has extensive experience in their field, strong business process and financial knowledge and the customer facing skills to deal with even the most awkward trainee.

Typically we bolster the training by adopting a train the trainer approach – this not only increases the level of training at your site but helps to evolve your own “in house expert” to deal with future queries or questions.

Training typically concludes with a “day in the life of your company” whereby documents from your existing computer system are re keyed into the new application to ensure that both processes and end results match.
