Step 2 – Diagnostic


Would you consider a major operation without consultation ? Would you build your house without blue prints ?

Patently not is the answer and yet hundreds of organisations decide to implement a computer system based on a few demonstrations and a reference call without taking this step to ensure that their unqiue requirements are met. And they are unique. We work in several vertical markets and none of our clients operate in a identical fashion.

At Blue Rock, prior to delivery of hardware or software our consultants spend time, on site, understanding your requirements and imparting their experience to you. If your existing processes work well for your company then we will aim to support the requirement via information technology. However if we believe that we can improve the efficiency of your organisation via a change of practice – we will tell you.

Ultimately, this cornerstone of our process, is the most important as it brings the following benefits;

  • Confirmation that your requirements can be met by the application
  • The ability to develop or pre configure your software, prior to training (as opposed to making changes on the fly)
  • The ability to change your business processes prior to the adoption of new software
  • The ability to indentify any change in project timescale or cost prior to installation
  • Confirmation that both parties can work well together

In practice after the consultancy is completed we deliver and present to you a detailed document with our findings. This, once signed off by both parties, becomes part of your original order.
