In a moment of madness 4 of the Blue Rock team have decided to enter this years Great South Run – a 10 mile jog around Portsmouth. To give the run a honourable purpose, rather than proving that we are not getting old we’ve decided to raise some money for the Piam Brown childrens ward at the Southampton General.
Simon Barber, Simon Coombes, Noel Creighton and Glen Jewell have all been training hard for the event on the 26th October and despite innevitable aching knees all are reaching their goal. Simon Barber has never been fitter and Glen has lost the best part of 3 stone – so it can’t all be bad.
Many thanks to all the customers, friends and relatives that have pledged sponsorship – we are just about at our target of £ 1000.
